Our #HugginzHero woke with a swollen and hurting left eye. This is on the side where the wound doesnt seem to be draining. Thankfully I had done most of our packing last night so only had a little to do this am. We loaded the car and headed to our local hospital emergency and saw the same wonderful pediatrician as we had yesterday. We truly are blessed to have such amazing pediatric care in the #AlberniValley. The Dr. wrote out a letter for us to get onto the ferry asap and instructed us to head right to Vancouver general hospital emergency. The pressure from the swelling and infection is putting pressure on her eye causing pain along with the jaw pain. Our guess is that the Drs there will have to surgically put in a drain and revisit infection management. We had such a battle getting meds in today as well as getting her onto the car to go to Vancouver. She was very upset as she wanted to stay home and sew #Hugginz blankets for sick kids. She also wanted to roll and collect more coins for Varietys kids. She hasnt been able to sew for her sick kids since last Thursday and that bothers her greatly. Were on the ferry now and should hopefully arrive at vgh by 630pm. The good thing about VGH is that her internist, oral surgeon and infection Dr are all located there. Please pray or send up good positive thoughts for this darned jaw to finally heal.
