Our Lovely Leylas Village, With both delight and a well of deep sorrow, we wish to share that Leyla has moved into the beautiful Hospice residence. Our collective souls are feeling hijacked, and heavy, as though we have sustained a thousand ancient splinters in our hearts center. The decision to move to Hospice was a life choice Leyla surprised us all with just last week. It is so very Leyla, and we are endlessly grateful that she can so clearly help us understand what her needs are and how we can best love and support her in this final transition. Leyla has been experiencing an untenable amount of pain, so our hearts are glowing at the prospect of hospice healing her discomfort with their gift and knowledge of pain management. We have happily chatted about making her new room shine with comfort, light, and home. Leyla will be hosting sleepovers with her lovelies and soaking in the beauty of being grown and moving out on her own. Such a delightful right of passage! Leyla will still be regularly going home, and to Papas and Nanas and Katies and anywhere else her beautiful self desires. Leyla is looking forward to a quiet trip to Sanibel Island with her Nana and Papa in just two weeks. They plan on snuggling in, digging their toes in the sand, and letting the sun shine their hearts warm. Today has marked a huge transition, and we are still breathing through the newness of it all. We anticipate that meals and offers to spend special time with Opal, the Eslets, Taj and Aysia will be very helpful. We have not yet figured out a plan for this though we will post in Leylas village more specifically as we understand the needs and who in the family will be coordinating each piece. Until then, please private message me if you have a desire to help and I will be in touch with you. I am sure Leyla will be reaching out to all her loved ones as she gets settled. She is sure to happily greet visitors in the coming days. If you dont hear from Leyla or the family directly please touch base before visiting. We want Leyla to have time to settle into her new space with her family and also allow her some time to rest while Hospice finds the best way to help Leyla with pain management. We are in the midsts of preparing Leyla for this great migration of souls, and while our hearts are at times heavy with sadness we are basking in the beauty of the gift of Leyla and with all of the moments in time she has shined our lives bright. The love of Leylas Village is a soul salve. It is healing, and gentle and kind. This is life our life, our humanity, our primordial oneness. Love bright, be sweet, cry in your bodies, honor your emotions, and hold one another close. We love you and the beauty you bring to Leyla and her village. We will be in touch, and soon.
