Our client a global leading project management company is currently seeking a HSE Manager to join them on a mega Oil and Gas project based in the Middle East region. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing HSE in accordance with applicable HSE policies, procedures, and corporate safety codes of practice, UAE statutes and international standards. Advising Senior Project Management regarding HSE matters and liaising with Partner companies and EPC contractors to support HSE planning, safety, risk management, emergency response, environmental & regulatory, field execution and HSE performance and compliance activities during all phases of the project. Guiding, directing, training and motivating project team members to take responsibility for their personal safety and comply with HSE safety policy, procedures, rules and accepted safe working practices, and country regulations. Implementing HSE best practices as applicable from project shareholder companies and the oil and gas industry as approved by Management. Other key responsibilities will include: Recommending HSE staff resources necessary to achieve objectives. Developing and implementing project specific risk assessment management system in conjunction with the Engineering Department or adapt fit-for-purpose system from Shareholder Company. Ensuring project HSE requirements are included in invitation to tender packages and participating in tender evaluations. Reviewing HSE related plans and providing comments/endorsing as appropriate. Ensuring system implementation for prompt incident notification, reporting, investigation and tracking of corrective actions by Line Management, overseeing collection of HSE performance data and analysing trends. The ideal candidate will have: B.S. in Engineering with minimum of 15 years industry experience, with at least 5 years in project related activities. Minimum of 10 years of HSE related experience and minimum of 7 years supervisory/managerial experience. In possession of current international recognized Professional Certification (e.g. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar).
