Our donkeys were grazing on the hill today, where the fodder is - TopicsExpress

Our donkeys were grazing on the hill today, where the fodder is good and the sun still reaches. I went to bring them down around five accompanied by Myf, my Welsh Springer. Myf and the donks get on well and today they wanted to play, but neither party understood the rules by which the others played, so the game misfired -- miscommunication across species. The Australian opera is doing a Ring cycle in November. We subscribed long ago. But I have had doubts recently: there have been a number of terribly misconceived productions lately when what the OA tried to do did not fit the plot or characters -- a production of Othello set in fascist Italy, for example. The Ring almost invites such blunders. Some cast dropouts have added to my fears. Now today comes news that the musical director, Richard Mills, has pulled out, well on into the rehearsal process, citing problems with personal chemistry. Disaster. Dogs and donkeys. Anyone want two tickets for the Ring in Melbourne? Going cheap.
