Our enthusiastic, authentic associate pastor of students brought the message Sunday, using Philippians 3:7-11 as his text. He used an example of a cross with weighted buckets on each side to demonstrate who Saul WAS and then who Paul IS after his conversion.The spiritual emphasis was Pressing on Through the Storm. We sang Hosanna, Jehovah Jireh, Cornerstone, In Times Like These, and Precious Lord, Take my Hand. One of our favorite tenor soloists sang The Woman at the Well. Our pianist played a lovely arrangement of Pass Me Not, O Gentle Savior. We enjoyed the flowers which were given by the John Houston Chapter NSDAR.
