Our friend and Cyclist Sumit Karki is performing a solo cycling ride from Kathmandu to Dhangadi (670km) starting 16 September 2014. It will take him about 10 days to complete his journey. He has dedicated this ride to promote the western part of Nepal and to bring awareness about Cancer to the local population. Nepal Cancer Hospital and Research Center (NCHRC) has proudly sponsored his ride. Today amid a small function at NCHRC premises at Harisiddhi, Lalitpur Dr Bijesh Raj Ghimire, Director and Mr Prakash Poudel, CEO bid farewell to Mr Karki. On the occasion the flags of Nepal Cancer Hospital (NCHRC) and Nepal Cancer Support Group (NCSG) along with materials regarding cancer awareness were handed over to him. We salute the brave act of Mr Karki to take this difficult journey and his desire to promote cancer awareness in Nepal. We would like to wish him a successful journey...
