Our youngest (of four) was born on this day 40 years ago. The customary extended family lunch with extra leaves in the dining room table, including two enchanted grandchildren (by another of our offspring), candles and photos, nice food, and stimulating conversation... terrific occasion, as always... When Lindy was slow to put in an appearance on 25 May 1974 the nurse-in-charge at Box Hill Hospital said I could go for a walk or coffee or something. I went to the nearby ten-pin bowling alley and bowled two games of 200+ : Ive never had two 200+ games in a row before or since... Which goes to show that some unusual events in your life concentrate the mind wonderfully (same phenomenon experienced by Jack Riewoldt (sp) yesterday when he kicked 11 goals after nearly getting sacked, eh?). BTW our ten-year-old tells me there was a version of 10-pin-bowling played by people 150 years ago. Must ask my friend Google about that :-)
