Out of interest, yesterday I towed a double axle horse float with a load of wood on a 65km round trip in the LEAF just to see how it would go. The cars performance was fine, just the power consumption was up. I used a whole battery charge to do that 65 km. If you can drive slowly then you will get further, but around the 80-90 kmph mark the consumption was fast, likely to be the wind resistance and weight of the float of course.
