Over the last several weeks I have been reminded why I created distance between some friends. Promises, secrets, and empty or meaningless words made or said to lull the heart and seduce the soul. Betrayal will come in time through denial of friendship, actions, chosen words, lies, broken promises or some other sign. Endure the betrayal of false friends as lessons will be learned by those who choose to learn. That being said, Ive also been reunited with a friend recently and reminded that its just as important to earn the appreciation of honest critics. With the death of my nephew I truly saw what love, compassion, support and friendship means. From Knickos friends embracing him and supporting him daily; to the friends of friends that continue to support our family, but most of all the extended family and love that proved evident. Yes, Ive had many things running through my mind over these last sleepless nights, that once again Im reminded and convinced not to chase false friendships, one sided or meaningless. But rather, devote more time to those that mean so much more to me and my family. Desires tend to dictate our priorities, priorities control our choices, and choices display our actions. I have new desires in LIFE, new priorities!!!!
