P A I N You know what, it is so easy to get lost in our own problems, you get caught up in a heart shaped box tessellated with our own neglect, heartache, pain, and issues. Forming a mosaic of destruction and confusion. Leaving yourself to portray this image of My life is so bad. But I can assure you there is a whole earth ball covered with people suffering in there own pain and confusion. A tetra-gram we all deal with everyday of our lives... PAIN. We get so caught up functioning in a narrow minded format of thinking that we dont notice others problems and pain. I can promise you if you take one step backwards and just take a minute to look at other peoples lives you will be ashamed that you ever dwelled on your heart shaped box. The pain you have experienced is nothing compared to what others have, thousandfold if not more. But we tend to ignore the bigger picture, after all its easier to wallow in our own issues than facing reality. Im not saying put aside your problems and dont deal with them, but learn to except your situations and then you get over it. Incomprehensibility concerning our fellow man brings asymmetry to the balance God wants us to have towards those who really need assistance in times of suffering and pain. Why we suffer may always remain a mystery on this side of eternity. We can, however, glean certain truths from Gods Word. If God loves us, why do we suffer? Christian or not, its a question that comes up repeatedly during times of grief and tragedy. In times of distress, we want to know that our suffering matters to God and that He cares about our pain. Truths that are timeless often need only the time brushed away in order to reveal the polished patina that has gleamed all along. We can read in Isaiah 48:10 that …I have refined you, though not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction. The meaning of this verse makes it clear that pain and suffering have a way of bringing our strengths and weaknesses to the surface. When the dross floats to the surface, God skims it off; he purifies and refines us to be the radiant bride of Christ. Suffering produces growth and maturity. James 1:2-4 Trials and Temptations 2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. Christianity teaches men to be joyful under troubles: such exercises are sent from Gods love; and trials in the way of duty will brighten our graces now, and our crown at last. Let us take care, in times of trial, that patience, and not passion, is set to work in us: whatever is said or done, let patience have the saying and doing of it. When the work of patience is complete, it will furnish all that is necessary for our Christian race and warfare. We should not pray so much for the removal of affliction, as for wisdom to make a right use of it. GOD BLESS !!!!
