PENNSYLVANIA NEEDS MORE NURSES Currently the state does NOT have a set nurse-to-patient ratio. As governor, Tom Wolf wants to set a nurse-to-patient ratio, so there will be MORE nurses each focusing on FEWER patients. Research shows that setting a safe nurse-to-patient ratio will REDUCE the death rate in hospitals by 10.6% and also INCREASE nursing jobs, which are very much in demand in this state. A larger nursing workforce is also predicted to work successfully in PA, ensuring this law to be cost effective and improve hospital care for all Pennsylvanians. #WolfWorksForYou b.3cdn.net/tomwolf/28dc8311d9bc153b07_uabm6br2y.pdf pennanurses.org/pac/ratio-research/ hpm.org/en/Surveys/Emory_University_-_USA/13/Legislating_Nurse_Staffing_Ratios_in_Pennsylvania.html nationalnursesunited.org/issues/entry/ratios
