PERCEPTION OR TRUTH: YOU DECIDE She doesnt know how to leave an abusive man. Your perception: Shes stupid. Their perception: She likes it. Her Truth: I dont want my relationship to fail so I cope with it. She openly talks about things that deeply hurt her throughout her lifetime. Your perception: She cant let go of the past. Their perception: She wants people to feel sorry for her. Her Truth: Every time I talk about it, I feel better and can cope with life a little more easily. Every time She gets into a serious relationship, She withdraws from family and friends and focuses on him. Your perception: She cant balance being in a relationship and having friendships. Their perception: Shes sacred somebody might take her man. Her Truth: If I can make my relationship with a man work, Ill be happy and all my other relationships will fall into place. She tells everyone she wants to stop (smoking, drinking, gambling, slutting) but never does. Your Perception: Shes never going to stop. Their Perception: Shes a liar. Her Truth: I need help because I dont know how to quit on my own. She keeps breaking up and making up with a man who is no good for her. Your perception: Shes a stupid chick with low self esteem. Their perception: He got her sprung on the wang. Her Truth: Im not sure anyone else will want me. She works hard and takes care of her man who doesnt have a job. Your Perception: Shes a fool for love. Their Perception: If she dont pay a man she wont have a man. Her Truth: I want a relationship and I will do whatever to have what I want. She likes to party, gossip and chase men rather than focusing on her children and household. Your Perception: T H O T Their perception: Shes ratchet. Her Truth: I live the life my Mother lived when she was my age and I was my kids age. She dreams of getting off her back to support her family but keeps tricking. Your Perception: Shes just a h o e. Their Perception: I wish I had her life. Her Truth: Its easier to earn a living using my body since I dont qualify for a job where I can use my brain. She goes along with the fads, trends and the status quo even when everything within her says not to. Your Perception: She has no backbone. Their Perception: Shes Normal. Her Truth: Im afraid of being rejected or outcast; I just want to fit in and be accepted. I refuse to have any interaction with those who bring unnecessary drama to my life--family or not. Your perception: Shes mean and cold hearted. Their perception: Shes a Bit** My Truth: Ive learned to love people from a distance. I seek out the TRUTH even if it contradicts whats being told in the pulpit. Your perception: She doesnt know God and is going to burn in hell. Their perception: Shes a heathen. My Truth: My Father knows my heart and I will be judged by Him alone. I speak MY truth no matter who likes it or doesnt like it. Your perception: She thinks she knows everything. Their perception: I wish she would shut up. My truth: Suck my middle finger!
