PERMITS NEGOTIATIONS: I have to say this. We are grateful - TopicsExpress

PERMITS NEGOTIATIONS: I have to say this. We are grateful for what the South Africans have done, extending their kindness and hospitality. When this year started, we made a decision to be pro-active because we had tried to mobilise people in 2011 for a Court class action but people still had a lot of years on their passports and were reluctant to join us. We raised the issues and awareness of the restlessness that was going on. We are glad that eventually we got to this stage. Our main worry was that people were going to be told to go back to Zimbabwe to renew their permits and that was going to affect their jobs. Now, our worry is that there is a big group that missed the opportunity in 2010 and also a big group that didnt receive their permits. Our request is that these two groups be conisdered provided they can prove that they have been here, e.g. those who want to change from asylum papers to the new 3 year permits. We are negotiating for those who have been here for say 1-2years to be considered. It wont be easy but these people need relief and we would appreciate if they can be considered. Many thanks to Mr Ngqabutho Mabhena. The man is giving his time. As I said above, I have to say this: it is so painful and honestly, if we were not activists we would find it difficult, to hear Mr Mabhena asking me for a taxi fare to go to Pretoria to attend the Ministers briefing. Where are the people that he goes up and down for? He had moved to Zimbabwe and was asked to come back to help, what does he eat? He is a family man, what is happening to his children and wife? Will people start appreciating and reward him after he has successfully negotiated for them to be allowed to get permits? Why then not now when he has to spend the day running up and down? My request is that, if we want our lives and our country to move forward we need to know that there are people who will set aside their time to help us but we must help them to help us. Two men for me: Ngqabutho Mabhena, cell number---0833401000 and Mr Ezra Maplanka --- 0788535353, the National Administrator of MWA-SA, the man has volunteered all this time without a pay because people are not joining as members. Please support these two men. They are at your service. Contact them directly, they are both on whatsapp. Dont worry about me, I have a small company and I work for myself. May God bless those who will respond. Have a good night. - Nyathi
