PERRY IS NOT SAFE AND WILL BE KILLED AT ANY MINUTE PLEASE HELP AND HURRY!! A volunteer writes: I first saw Perry being walked by staff and fell in love with his smiling face and wagging tail. I knew that Perry and I would have a date later in the day! Perry is a gorgeous boy, a little too thin so we are feeding him an extra meal daily to help him gain some weight. His coat is a bit dry, so clearly he didnt have optimal physical care, but nothing has dampened his spirit or his love for people. Hes thrilled to be going out for a walk, showing me that hes housetrained by going potty immediately. He pulls on the leash from time to time, but generally has good leash manners, and has wonderful manners when we wait at a corner for a light to change, he patiently waits, close by my side. Off leash in the back yard Perry happily waits for a tossed tennis ball, gleefully running after it and sort of bringing it back. I can take it out of his mouth for another toss, but he is happiest chomping away on it. Hell drop it for the promise of a treat, for which he sits when asked to. He takes treats eagerly, and also catches them on the fly! He loved bringing his tennis ball onto my lap, chomping away and enjoying some cuddling at the same time. Perrys kennel card is filled with compliments from volunteers who have walked him great dog, so sweet, affectionate and so on. I liked him a lot and know you will too; ask to meet him today and well send him home with a tennis ball to chomp on. Hes hoping for a lifetime of tennis balls, treats and love and hoping it will start today.
