PHILANTHROPY DAY AWARDS PRESENTED FOR OUTSTANDING PHILANTHROPIC EFFORTS IN SOUTHWEST MISSOURI AFP Ozarks Region and OHAF recognized outstanding charitable achievements at the 2013 Philanthropy Day awards presentation SPRINGFIELD, MO (November 12, 2013) – The Association of Fundraising Professionals Ozarks Region Chapter (AFP Ozarks) and the Ozarks Health Advocacy Foundation (OHAF) recognized the outstanding achievements by individuals, foundations, and organizations at the 2013 National Philanthropy Day Luncheon held at Highland Springs Country Club. AFP is pleased to honor individuals who demonstrate high ethical standards and exemplify the philanthropic spirit of our region. “AFP Ozarks is proud to recognize the local fundraising efforts of individuals, and businesses as their generosity bring positive outcomes for our community,” stated Alice Wingo, AFP Ozarks President. AFP Ozarks 2013 Outstanding of the Year award winners include: OHAF Child Health Advocate of the Year Award Patricia Webb Nominated by: Child Advocacy Center Staff and Board of Directors Outstanding Media Organization Award FOX KRBK Nominated by: Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks Outstanding Philanthropic Foundation Award The JP Morgan Chase Foundation Nominated by: Foundation for Springfield Public Schools Outstanding Philanthropic Business/Corporation Associated Wholesale Grocers, Inc. Nominated by: Ozarks Food Harvest Outstanding Fundraiser of the Year Award Randy Voss Nominated by: Humane Society of Southwest Missouri and endorsed by Doula Foundation Outstanding Philanthropist of the Year Beth & John Raidel Nominated by: Springfield Ballet Outstanding Fundraising Campaign/Event Springfield Arts Collaborative Nominated by: Springfield Ballet Outstanding Youth Philanthropist of the Year Madasyn Clark Nominated by: Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Missouri The Awards Committee comprised of representatives from nonprofit organizations of varying sizes from the Springfield and surrounding area to select Honorees. Nominators must be current AFP Ozarks chapter members or have their nomination endorsed by a current AFP member.
