PLEASE READ AND SHARE!!! To anyone selling on kijiji or autotrader. There is a scam going on right now where someone will email you acting as though they are interested in buying whatever it is your selling...mostly vehicles. They will tell you a story about how they are working at sea on a boat and will have the vehicle shipped to them at their expense. They will say they can only pay via paypal. But they need..you...the seller to pay the shipping company with an extra sum of money they will also send via paypal. They will not hesitate to send you the full amount imidiatatly..and you will get a fake "paypal confirmation email"...stating that you must pay the shipping company via western union before any of the sent funds can be released into your paypal account. This is a scam...there is no money. Report any activity like this to paypal and they will ask you to forward them the emails youve recieved. Paypal does not assosiate themselves with western union..and any legit email from paypal will start with "Dear...first, middle, and last name. I was smart enough to know this stuff and called paypal to verify this. However im sure there are lots off ppl out there eager to sell a vehicle that would fall for an easy sale.
