★ PLEASE SHARE AND RE-POST this heartbreaking story. Get Johann back home to his family! ★ Our beagle Johann was stolen from our family. We have spent several painstaking months trying to find him. We miss him more than any words can express. I know he misses us too and wants to be back home. He has been taken from his family, the loving foundation he has grown to trust. He was rescued from a research lab. We adopted him in January 2012. He is the sweetest little guy, with the purest heart. The bond he and I formed, is by far the most special thing I have ever experienced in my life. Johann is more important to me than anything. It breaks my heart everyday that he is not with me. What we know is, that he was passed along or sold through the hands of three separate people. We found and contacted the third party. This individual admits to having had him, but claims she gave him away. She will not tell us who she gave or sold him to. Here is what we have done in our attempts to get Johann back- 8/6/13- I wrote a letter to to this person, stating we want our dog back, along with a copy of Johanns adoption papers clearly showing I am his owner. 8/8/13- Civil stand by at this persons house, she was not home. 8/12/13- I filed a police report with S.J.P.D. - #13-224-9517. 8/21/13- I opened a case for mediation with Dispute Resolution Program Services at the Office of Human Relations in Santa Clara County. This person would not meet for mediation. 8/25/13- Second Civil stand by at this persons house, she would not let police look inside. 9/11/13- I filed a second police report with S.J.P.D. #13-259-9514. The first one I filed had been closed. The police said they lack the resources to investigate crimes. 9/15/13- I started a online campaign petitioning the S.J.P.D. and the City Council to enforce the law that prohibits theft and have our dog safely returned. *We have also posted on Craigslist, Facebook, Twitter, and countless lost/missing pet sites. I have called and written emails to the chief of police, city council, county supervisors, local animal shelters, and statewide animal control agencies. 9/17/13- I filed a suit in Small Claims Court* *After some research and talking to the Small Claims Adviser, and the judge. (I found out that Small Claims court doesnt have the jurisdiction to enforce the actual return of our dog. They can only request that Johann be returned. If he is not returned, they can only enforce monetary compensation for him) We want Johann back. No amount of money can replace him. In order to ensure we get Johann back we must file in a court of higher jurisdiction. I ask from the bottom of my heart, Will you please help us and Johann? I miss him more than words can express. Sincerely, Tim Ruzzo The bond with a dog is as lasting as the ties of this earth can ever be. -- Konrad Lorenz
