PM Lee cited sailor Jovin Tan, who won Singapores first ever gold - TopicsExpress

PM Lee cited sailor Jovin Tan, who won Singapores first ever gold medal at the Asean Para Games, as an inspiration to others with their grit, determination, and passion (The disabled can contribute to society: PM Lee, The Straits Times, Pg A8, 28 Nov 2014). SingaporeSailing couldnt agree more! The sailing community is proud to count within its ranks sailors like Jovin, Qian Yin, Desiree, and many others. The late Frankie Thanapal founded the Sailability programme and drove it with his passion. SingaporeSailings 2010 blueprint, The Next Leg, integrated disabled classes into our major regattas, strongly advocating a policy of inclusiveness. Our clubs, sailors, coaches, officials and volunteers fully embraced the programme, allowing our disabled sailors to leverage on our hardware and software to do Singapore proud. To the whole sailing fraternity: well done and keep it up!
