PMAP President to Address SPUD’s Graduation Rites The President of the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP), Atty. Josephus B. Jimenez will be in Dumaguete City on March 22, 2014 to deliver his Graduation Message to the Graduate School and College Commencement Exercises of St. Paul University Dumaguete (SPUD). Atty. Jimenez is the Former Undersecretary of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Former Top Corporate Executive of PNOC specifically as Personnel Director, Director for Labor Relations and Labor Litigation at San Miguel Corporation, and Vice – President of Pepsi Cola Philippines. He is also a Law Professor at the University of Santo Tomas, Far Eastern University and University of the East as well as one of the Board of Trustees of St. Paul University Philippines in Tuguegarao City, St. Paul University Manila and St. Paul University Quezon City. Furthermore, he also served as Labor Attaché in Taichung, Taiwan, Malaysia, and Kuwait. With all those achievements, he is as well a Prolific Author to a dozen of books, Bar Reviewer and Inspirational Speaker. Not known to everybody that Atty. Jimenez started as a barefoot boy from a certain rural village in Cebu, he struggled his way as a working student, a school janitor at the age of 12, and a court interpreter at the age of 19, then became a lawyer at age of 24, graduating as Magna Cum Laude and Class Valedictorian, also garnered 11th Place in the Bar Exams. As an Outstanding Student, at the age of 26 he was given a Presidential Appointment as Labor Arbiter and after his stint in the corporate world, he then returned to the government service as Undersecretary of DOLE wherein he chaired the ECC, NWOC, MTC and NMP as well as Member of the PEZA Board. He is guided by his credo “Work hard in your job, but put God in the center of your life and your family as your first priority. There is no success in career that can make up for failure in the family.”
