POSITION TITLE: Maintenance Assistant JOB SUMMARY: • Responsible for safely operating the Lunch Break Van. Transporting food, clothing and miscellaneous items while displaying a professional attitude and effective customer relations. • Assist maintenance technicians in all areas installs, maintains, clean and minor repairs. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Driver • Must obey all traffic laws • Practice safety at all times in performance of required duties. • Operates vehicle on assigned routes, maintaining schedules or specific addresses as directed by the Administration request. • Performs pre-operation safety inspections, requests servicing and repairs verbally and in writing as necessary. • Take the van for repairs and maintenance as needed; pick up and return Van to Lunch Break • Maintain the van in a clean condition including taking it to be washed, also cleaning the interior as necessary. • Provide detailed reports of accidents or incidents. • Performs other related duties as assigned. Maintenance Helper • Assist the maintenance • Clean both men and women bathroom, both the main and administrative building including washing down the walls, replacing toilet paper, paper towel and hand soap. • Empty all garbage before leaving work, both the main and administrative building • Clean the stairways going to the pantry each day • Clean & dust all the windows in the main building, once a week • Clean the light fixture once a week • Clean the kitchen hood, once a week • Clean the debris near the garbage bin, each day • Break down cardboard boxes and put in the bin, each day • Clean driveway daily • Clear all debris on Lunch Break property • Rake lawn when needed • Do minor repairs. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: • High School Diploma or GED desirable. • Must Read and Write • Demonstrate responsible work experience or at least one (1) year dealing directly with the public. • Valid Drivers license with clean driving record • Four years driving experience with conventional vehicles (car, truck, and/or van). • Must be 21 years of age or older. • No criminal record - background check will be conducted.
