POSTPONED MARCH STAGED THIS MONTH IN SERBIA On June 12 and 15, 2014, a postponed March Against Monsanto was staged in Serbia in solidarity with the World March. Marchers in Serbia were not able to go to streets in May because of cataclysmic floods that hit the country. The March on June 12, 2014, in the second largest Serbian city Novi Sad was held in a form of Organic food market. The stand of Mirko Vlcek, organic pioneer in Serbia, served as March headquarters. Three days later, around 20 citizens gathered at the main square of the Serbian capital Belgrade with a sign We feel organic intolerance for GMO! Three guests from abroad joined the March: French agriculture students Adrian and Suzel, as well as an NGO activist from Turkey who was traveling through Serbia.
