Pakistan Punch... GREATEST Imran Khan recently met the author of the book Dharkan: the Heartbeat of a Nation at his house. The author, Mobeen Ansari describes the meeting with Imran Khan in the following words: I have been meeting IK for the last 22 years. The first time I met him was when he came to my school (Beaconhouse) to collect donations for SKMT. The second time was after almost 17 years at a SKMT fundraiser aftari in Islamabad where I happened to be on the same table as him and took lots of spontaneous shots (one of them made it to Heralds Person of the Year cover this year). The third time was at a PTI Dharna in Islamabad - then I photographed him for a cover story for Paper magazine at his place. However we met properly and in length for the first time last week when I went to photograph him for another publication Im working on. I also wanted to gift him the book I published recently (which also features him). It is called Dharkan: the Heartbeat of a Nation and features portraits of Pakistani icons and unsung heroes. He enjoyed the book and took it with him after the shoot. Related links: 1.
