Palestine solidarity protesters were assaulted for waving a Palestinian flag out of the window of their truck on Sunday at a Los Angeles rally in support of Israeli airstrikes on Gaza, according to Reuters. The flag was torn to the ground and stomped on by the Israel supporters, prompting the Palestine supporters to exit their truck to retrieve it. While kneeling to recover the flag, one Palestine activist was “stomped and kicked” by pro-Israel demonstrators. Yet it was four Palestine activists who “were booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after some of those involved in the melee were seen brandishing wooden poles,” reported Reuters.
