Pangare (aka Mealy) These little guys have whats known as Pangare, sometimes called Mealy. It can be found on Bay and Chestnut based colours, and there is no genetic test for it at this stage. It sometimes accompanies Wild Bay, as seen on the horse on the far left ... and possibly the horse on the far right too, depending on what your opinion of Wild Bay is .. since there is no test for that either ;) It sometimes accompanies Flaxen Chestnut as well. From Wiki : Pangaré is a coat trait found in some domestic horses that features pale hair around the eyes and muzzle and underside of the body. These pale areas can extend up to the flanks, throat and chest, behind the elbows, in front of the stifle, and up the buttock. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pangar%C3%A9
