Path to the cross After his triumphal entry into Jerusalem, Jesus - TopicsExpress

Path to the cross After his triumphal entry into Jerusalem, Jesus did have a final discourse with the people who flocked to see him before he hid himself from them. Some of the multitudes were witnesses of Jesus act of calling Lazarus out of his grave and many came to see Lazarus as well as Jesus. This troubled the religious leaders and they lamented Look the world is gone after him. So they not only conspired to find a way to kill Jesus but they also gave thought to actually putting Lazarus to death as well. In the final discourse he compared his death to a corn of wheat being planted into the ground to bring forth much fruit, instead of not planting the corn of wheat and bearing no fruit. He also talked about those who follow him that the Father would honor them. And he didnt seemed troubled about his fate in fact he said he came upon this hour for this very cause and that it would glorify his Fathers name. John said a voice came from heaven and that the people that stood by and heard it said it was thunder while others said an angel spoke. Jesus made it clear that the voice from heaven wasnt for his sake but for those that stood near and heard it, that now is the judgement of this world and the prince of THIS world would be cast out, and he reiterated that he must be lifted up and die. Also that the time of light being with them all was limited and running out and to walk in the light while they have it, because when darkness come those that walk in the dark dont know where theyre going. And he ended his words this way before he did hide himself from them While you have light, believe in the light, that you may be the children of light.
