Paul Jack Griffiths is playing the extended rising mix from 2012 .... @still loving the music from the epic UK band, Queen !! Queens 1991 track from the Innuendo album this is The Show Must Go On in the extended rising mix from 2012 .... The Show Must Go On is credited to Queen but written mainly by Brian May. The song chronicles the effort of Freddie continuing to perform despite approaching the end of his life, although his illness had not yet been made public in spite of ongoing media speculation claiming that he was seriously ill. Fred was so ill and could barely walk when the band recorded the song in 1990 that Brian had concerns as to whether he was physically capable of singing it. Recalling Freds performance Brian states, he just went in and killed it completely lacerated that vocal... It was released as a single in the UK on the 14th of October in 1991 in promotion for the Greatest Hits II album, just six weeks before Fred died. Following Freds death on the 24th of November in 1991 the song re entered the UK charts and spent as many weeks in the top 75 as it did upon its original release initially reaching a peak of no:16. The song was first played live on the 20th of April in 1992 during The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert it was performed by the three remaining members of Queen with Elton John singing lead vocals and Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi playing rhythm guitar........ @wish the show coulda gone on with you mate ... my love 2ya forever Paul Jack Griffiths xx
