Paula Priesse September 20th – CA’s Modesto Junior College is a PUBLIC institution. During Tuesday’s Constitution Day, Robert Van Tuinen was outside handing out pocket Constitutions to fellow students. That is until campus police informed Robert he had to first get permission through the “Student Development” office. Ironic huh? There administrator Christine Serrano told him he must fill out an application, then distribute his Constitutions at the proper “time, place & manner” and only in the college’s “free speech zone.” So Ms. Serrano, is the rest of your campus a designated “unconstitutional zone?” In fact 1 out of 6 American colleges now have “free speech zones.” On the phone Serrano was relaying to another that Van Tuinen was questioning why he couldn’t pass out “constitutional-type of papers.” Her words. Bless her little heart, because Christine it is written in Robert’s “constitutional-type of papers” that AMERICA IS A FREE SPEECH ZONE! Unless you’re a conservative these days on campus, the only true college radicals fighting “the man.” Well done Robert! P
