Peace be unto you brothers and sisters. For no man can lay another foundation than that which has been laid, which is Yeshua the Messiah (1Cor 3:11). And my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5 so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God (1 Cor 2:4- 5). Messiah Yeshua (Christ Jesus) told us to ensure that our life is not built upon man made doctrines, commandments and traditions Mark 7:7-8. We shouldn’t reject His word to please man. Our life should be founded upon the righteousness of God word by Christ Jesus. Upon this rock (The rock being the truth about who God and the Messiah are) He builds us (the church) and the gates of hell shall not prevail (Because we stand on the truth, which is God word) Matt 16:16-18.
