Peaceful Protest Parade. Due to the fact that Stapleford Carnival will not be having a street parade this year local residents are organising a Peaceful Protest Parade. Taking place on Saturday 7th September and starting at 1130am, setting off from the car park at The Midland, Derby Road, Stapleford. Heading through Stapleford Town Centre and then turning left down Church Street, right turn up Hickings Lane and finishing at The Jaguar car park. The protest is against the fact the Police will no longer be available to help the Carnival Parade which people throughout Stapleford have enjoyed for so many years. We must inform people that the Peaceful Protest Parade is nothing to do in any way shape of form with the organisers of the Stapleford Carnival and anyone imterested in joining the parade just turn up between 11am and 1130am on the day.
