People make promises -- to love us, be there for us, to protect us. They say things like, Ill never hurt you. Ill never leave. Ill always be there for you. And then, life happens. And people break promises. It hurts. Sometimes to the core of our being. If were being honest, weve done that, too. On some level, to some one else, at some other time. At some point, we either make the choice, to let that broken promise turn into a disabling injury or turn it into a strength we will add as we get up and move forward. We are powerful. Powerful enough to remain injured. Powerful enough to move forward. Its our choice. We just forget sometimes that were powerful enough to choose. And I want to remind you that you are here for such a great purpose. A Divinely-created and inspired purpose. Your life is here by design by a Great Designer. And heres the thing thats a kick in the gut: If you are making someones broken promises, stop you from living out Gods promises for your life then, you just have just made that other person your god. Dont let a broken promise be more powerful than the Divine in you. Love someone today and let it be you.
