People sometimes ask me what it is that the 501st does, well here is a message from the CO of the Terror Australis Garrison in Australia: It is with immense pride that I reveal to you the biggest 501st undertaking by an individual trooper in Australia, and the world!! On Easter Monday this year , Scott Loxley (scottlox TD 4857) approached me,saying he was planning to walk around Australia! My initial response was - “Dude, you’re crazy!”. He convinced me that he was serious, and that it has been a lifelong ambition of his. He asked how he could utilise this walk to promote the 501st and what we do. I flippantly responded “You could do it in armour”? Very Happy. Without hesitation Scott replied “Sure!”. And that was it. Fast forward to now, 5 months later, and here we are – “STORMING AROUND AUSTRALIA FOR THE MONASH CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL”!!!!!
