Permalink Reply by Derrick Johnson 1 hour ago * From what I can tell from the diagram & the wikipedia article if you remove the funnel that holds the coffee, or cut the stem off the bottom so it doesn’t extend down into the contaminated water, and only steam is allowed to rise into the upper chamber it could work as a distiller. But you may need to figure out how to effectively cool the upper chamber to increase condensation.
