Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. is committed to changing the face - TopicsExpress

Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. is committed to changing the face of men’s health, especially minority mens health. To illustrate the aforementioned commitment, members of the fraternity join in solidarity by wearing light blue weekly, growing out their mustaches and/or beards for 30 days during the month of November, appropriately identified as Movember – the men’s health global movement. Members who are in the military grow their mustaches within their respective branch of service’s hair standards and grooming policies. Members also record their facial hair growth experience, weekly, through video and photos, and share their experience with a message of encouragement digitally in display, mobile and tablet media. This concerted effort intends to invite men to join the global movement, spark conversation, and bring awareness to mens health, especially the need for more men to get tested for prostate and testicular cancer. It also intends to raise vital funds for men’s health programs, especially minority men’s health programs. Be concerned! Get Involved! Stay Committed!
