Please distribute this job call: Assistant Professor of English: Health and Humanities EMORY UNIVERSITY, ATLANTA GA: Assistant professor of English, field open with specialization in health and humanities. This tenure-track position is one of several new faculty appointments in the humanities funded by the Mellon Foundation in order to promote the study of human health from a humanities-based perspective. The successful candidate will have strong grounding in a particular field of literary studies, with a research agenda that addresses critical issues in human health from perspectives including narrative medicine, disability studies, bioethics, science and technology studies, history of health/illness, medical humanities, or related approaches. Teaching responsibilities include two courses per year in English and two courses in the interdisciplinary Program in Human Health; the tenure home will be in English.
