Please help a member of our community: I hope it is okay to reach out to this community. I have a decision to make and I need the assistance of folks who truly understand Montessori, esp. teachers. My daughter is doing poorly in public 1st grade, mostly with socialization as she is more like a 5 year old than the young 6 year old she is. I have two Montessoris to choose from: a wonderful,very authentic primary where she would be oldest in the group (instead of the youngest as she is now) OR a warm, nurturing elementary where she would be with a few five year olds. I can see her happy in both environments. Do I enroll her in primary and give her a gift of the year or do I enroll her in elementary and allow her to continue on the current path? Please share your thoughts!
