Please, if you care at all about Orcas or other cetaceans, or are the least bit curious about what Blackfish is, do yourself a favor and take the time to watch Blackfish on CNN tonight at 8pm. This movie, as well as The Cove, forever changed how I feel about cetaceans and animals in captivity. I carry a lot of guilt because I have supported aquariums and zoos in the past. I was appalled at how they have you believe that they are around for conservation and education, but the bottom line is that its really all about money . Any good they ARE responsible for, is overshadowed by the fact that the orcas, whales and dolphins suffer and are basically slaves, forced to do tricks for food. If you buy a ticket, you are helping support this, and many other horrible acts bestowed upon them. As far as my guilt, its why I am so passionate about getting the word out and why I am so persistent about educating people about the facts. I wish I knew the truth before I turned 41 years old. But like my wonderful fellow activist friend, Veronica Wolski told me, you cant do better until you know better. Well now I know better and Im trying to do better. So PLEASE Blackfish the Movie, because I promise you that if forever change you too. Thank you. XOXO
