Please join us in a Journey of Humility and Sacrifice on the blessed day of Arafa for a community iftar followed by a unique community event, New Muslim Journeys. Brothers and sisters who have converted to Islam will be sharing the stories of their journeys to Islam. InshaAllah their stories will convey both the serenity of finding Islam and the struggles new Muslims face as they grapple with their new faith. The video below shows two converts candidly discussing some of the issues they faced as they embraced Islam. Whether its through watching a video like this, interacting with new Muslims, or recounting the stories of the first converts, the sahaba, it becomes impossible to ignore the human side of embracing Islam. For this reason, ISBCC has always strived to provide services to help new Muslims. Alhumdulillah, programs like Islam101 and Convertsations have begun to lay the foundation for the support structure that new Muslims need but there is still much work to be done. To continue to grow Islam in America we request our community to give sadaqah to a unique initiative: ISBCCs hallmark programming to teach non-Muslims about Islam and support new Muslim brothers/sisters in their journey into Islam.
