Please please please forgive the awful pictures of this newly acquired horse at the Riverside County animal shelter in Jurupa Valley. The photographer was working against a number of obstacles. The shelter thinks this might be a mule. She was discovered at the scene of an accident involving a donkey, Who was killed. They were both wandering loose. This animal, whether mule, or horse, is just a youngster. She has a lot of Spunk, and a lot of learning to do. She is very active. Very curious, very playful, very very sweet. She must be intelligent, because she is almost bored, she stays very busy. Constantly doing something in the pen. Look at those feet! Im not sure if she is a mule, when looking at her head, but her feet sure do look like mule feet. She will be available for adoption after December 19. She is going to make someone a nice prospect. She looks very healthy, although she was quite wormy when she arrived last week. She has been wormed and vaccinated, and did not give her handlers any grief. I will post her identity in a comment below.
