Police are appealing for the public’s help to identify a woman in Bolton. Shortly after 6.30pm on Sunday 26 October 2014, emergency services were called to Chorley New Road, near to the junction of ’The Glen’, in Bolton, to a report a woman had been found collapsed. When police arrived, they found a woman collapsed on the floor and she was taken to hospital, where she sadly died. Police are now appealing for the public’s help to identify the woman. She is described as white, in her mid-40s, and of medium build. She was dressed as if she had been jogging; wearing a black vest top, brown leggings, and white ‘New Balance’ trainers. She has a tattoo of an orchid on her right hip. There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and the coroner has been informed. Detective Inspector Andy Cunliffe of Bolton division said: “It looks like the woman was out jogging when she sadly collapsed and we are trying to find out who she is, so we can let her family and friends know what has happened. “I would urge anyone who knows anyone matching this description, possibly a friend or colleague who has not turned up for work today, to contact police immediately.” Anyone with information should phone police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
