Position of Project and Sponsorship Coordinator Amici dei Bambini (AiBi) in Cambodia AiBi - Amici dei Bambini Association is an Italian NGO that has permanent offices in 27 countries, including Italy where is located its headquarters. The other branches or local organisations are: in the Balkans (Albania, Bosnia, Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Kosovo), in Eastern Europe (Russian Federation, Latvia, Moldova, Romania, Ukraine), in Africa (Morocco, Kenya, Democratic Republic of the Congo), in the America (Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Honduras, Mexico, Peru, USA), and in Asia (Cambodia, Mongolia, Nepal, Sri Lanka). Amici dei Bambini aims to guarantee children the possibility to live in an appropriate family environment. The mission of AiBi Cambodia is to promote child’s right enabling vulnerable children and children in desperate needs of help to live in stable and appropriate living condition. AiBi Italy opened an office in Cambodia in 2007. AiBi Cambodia is registered as an INGO under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through a Memorandum of Understanding signed on June 5th, 2008. Job duties 1) Collect all necessary information and edit documents in English and Khmer (possibly in Italian) related to Sponsorship Program, according to the instructions given by AiBi Country Coordinator in order to create a dossier for all the sponsored and would-be supported children in the mentioned orphanages or in the rural communities where AiBi works and manages other relevant implemented projects: - children information sheet - project and orphanage/community information sheet - monthly newsletter for sponsors - annual/final report about the sponsored child and about the projects - correspondence with Italian sponsors (Christmas and Easter religious celebration communication) - follow the care plan of each sponsored child - Report projects development and writing newsletter 2) File and translate all letters (Khmer-English-Italian-Khmer), communication coming from single sponsors or from sponsored children and vice versa. 3) In coordination with AiBi Italia Headquarters, coordinate, supervise and participate in special events and campaigns. 4) In cooperation with NGO partners, monitor and follow implemented projects of the relevant orphanage(s) or rural communities with which Amici dei Bambini has signed a cooperation agreement 5) Play as a focal person for communication and maintain good relationship with NGO partners and concerned ministries 6) Assist Country Representative in organizing seminars and conferences and in writing proposals and proposing fundraisers Job Requirements - Holding a bachelor of: Management, Arts, Rural Development, Economic Development, International Relations, or International Studies - Knowledge of Child’s right and Child Safe Organization - Experience in fundraisers’ activities, writing proposals and organizing conferences or seminars - Working experience in INGO or local NGO - Interest and dedication to work with vulnerable people in particular with children - Good knowledge of written and spoken Khmer and English (Italian will be a plus) - Good knowledge and practice of computer Microsoft Office - Good inter-personal skills and ability to relate well to others - Understanding of planning and organization ability to handle tasks in timely manner - Strong ethical aptitude and ability to work independently without close supervision - Ability to build good cooperation and develop mutual understanding between AiBi and NGO partners - Additional qualities: flexibility, honest, creativity and motivation Contact Interested candidates, please kindly send your CV and Cover Letter to [email protected] before 27 June 2014.
