Pottawattamie County Conservation currently has a surplus of beautiful and useful rough cut wooden slabs, such as the ones used to create the unique wooden benches that occupy the Loess Hills Lodge gallery. We are looking for people interested in using up some of this surplus wood in a constructive way. Most slabs are at least 8 long and species include Hackberry, Oak, Cedar, Kentucky Coffeetree, Walnut & Cottonwood. If you or anyone you know is interested in making use of this surplus wood please message the park or contact Chad Graeve directly at chad.graeve@pottcounty for more information. /kate
