Prayers are much needed for my little family. I just received a call from my doctor with the results from my chromosome abnormality blood test. I was told my son has a high risk of having Trisomy 18, which may be a heart defect or another serious birth defect. If he does have it, he will not make it full term and if he does he will be a stillbirth or wont live past a few weeks. He also told me although the blood test came back abnormal, he only has a 1 in 10% chance of having it. Meaning that theres a 90% chance he doesnt have it, so that keeps me hopeful. But he is concerned enough to where he is sending me to USA hospital in Mobile to see a more experienced staff of high risk doctors for further testing.
