Prepare For The Wedding Gods mercy reached out to the world when He sent His only beloved Son, Jesus (Yeshua) to suffer and die for our sins. Our faith reaches out to God and accepts His gift to mankind through faith when we come to Christ for forgiveness of our sins. Because God is a God of mercy, He expects his children to also be merciful to their fellow humans. Speak and act as those who are going to be judged by the law that gives freedom, because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment. James 2:12-13 (NIV). God expects Christians to emulate His Son and grow in maturity to be like Christ. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of Him (Jesus) (Yeshua) who is the head, that is, Christ. From Him, the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. Ephesians 4:15-16 (NIV). Having mercy on our neighbors (everyone) includes forgiving others, as Christ has forgiven us. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in Heaven may forgive you your sins. Mark 11:25 (NIV). This warning is repeated in numerous scriptures. For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But, if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. Matthew 6:14-15 (NIV). So, mercy and forgiveness are an important part of our Christian living. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Matthew 5:7 (NIV). When we practice the Word of God, we put on the character of Jesus (Yeshua) and prepare for the wedding of the Bride of Christ. Just as in a natural wedding here on earth, we dress ourselves for the occasion by wearing our best clothing. Our character and likeness to Christ is our wedding garments. We are destined to be the Bride of Christ. The bride must make herself ready for the wedding. But, while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with Him (Jesus) (Yeshua) to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut. Matthew 25:10 (NIV). Preparing to be the Bride of Christ requires that we strive to be like our Savior. Be dressed, ready for service, and keep your lamps burning; like servants waiting for their master to return from a wedding banquet, so that when He comes and knocks, they can immediately open the door for Him. Luke 12:35-36 (NIV). The bible tells us : For many will be called, but few are chosen. Matthew 22:14 (NIV). The great harvesting of souls for the Kingdom of God has gone on for 2,000 years and we are in the last days prior to Jesus second coming and the rapture. Then He said to His servants, The wedding banquet is ready, but those I invited did not deserve to come. So, go to the street corners and invite to the banquet anyone you find. Matthew 22:8-9 (NIV). Prepare for the wedding in Heaven now by getting ready for it.
