Pre‐Sales Consultant (Technical) Petaling Jaya Descriptions: The Pre‐Sales Consultant (PSC) supports sales productivity and deal flow by securing the “technical close” in complex solutions. The PSC collaborates with sales, service delivery, and technical support resources to ensure proposed deals include technical solutions that accurately address customer needs, and are appropriately supported by key customer technical decision‐makers. PSC will support company sales & business team throughout the sales process including but not limited to, sales support, bid support, and technologies updates. This will includes the conduct of client demonstrations and solution designing using company technologies. Reporting to the Pre‐Sales lead, the PSC reports on a dotted line to the sales manager or business account manager responsible for the sales team supported. Responsibilities: 1.Be familiar with all of the company software products, and other complementary software products and solutions offered. 2.Work with customers to understand their business goals, activities, workflows, needs and determine how GIS technology can help the customer accomplish their goals. 3.Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assesses customers’ met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and the firm. 4.Secures input from all necessary solution stakeholders within the customer firm. Adapts solutions, as necessary, to ensure appropriate support. 5.Conduct product and custom demonstration using company technologies and relevant partner’s solutions. 6.Perform system sizing, prepare and draft technical specifications, produce services effort sizing and support in sales bidding processes. 7.Provides technology updates to customers and the company partner network and participates in company events and conferences. 8.Meets assigned targets for profitable sales growth in assigned product lines, market areas, channel, or teams supported. 9.Provides coaching and professional development to team member sales associates in order to enhance their product knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills. 10.Support and undertake any other tasks as requested or assigned by the Management. Requirements: 1.Between 3 to 6 years working experience in technical pre‐sales; proven experience in the application of GIS concepts and technologies. 2.Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Software Engineering or a related discipline. 3.Analytical and possess good problem solving skills and proven ability to diagnose business problems. 4.Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both oral and written in Malay and English. 5.Possess effective presentation and relationship building skills. 6.Experience in support tender bid processes. 7.Experience in ArcGIS and IT system design is an advantage. 8.Possession of ArcGIS/IT Certification will be an advantage.
