Protest Rally - We Refuse to Close our Eyes - Gaza 2014 Thursday, July 12, 8:00PM - 10:00PM, Habima Square, Tel Aviv During these difficult grim days, in which combat is intensifying and a ground invasion seems closer than ever, we refuse to close our eyes to what’s happening in Gaza, on each and every routine day of occupation - and especially during these dangerous days. This Thursday we will meet at Habima Square in Tel Aviv to read testimonies from soldiers in Gaza: Cast Lead, Pillar of Defense, and other operations we were told were meant to protect Israeli national security, but instead led us into another round of combat. Each wave of violence was at the expense of innocent civilians in Gaza, Israeli residents - in Southern Israel in particular, and at the expense of Israeli soldiers - us. We’re inviting you to join us in the face of those trying to silence criticism, to provide a place for soldiers’ testimonies to be heard, and to call for an end to violence and occupation in Gaza together.
