Proverbs 18:22 says a man who finds a wife finds a good thing. It is not marriage that makes a lady a wife; she is a wife even before she is married. A wife is a gift from God; she is God’s favour everyone aspires for. She is a companion, a correspondent, a partner, a helper, suitable perfecter, multiplier, builder and lots more. And because she is first a wife before she is found, our home is a place to practice and execute what she has learned. This is in line with what my friend, Ademola Daniels, wrote in his book 4G Connections: “Contrary to general belief, the matrimonial home is not a place to learn. I believe the matrimonial home is a place to execute what you have learned. So, instead of waiting for the perfect man, spend your single years becoming a wife and the man will find you.” Enjoy and share
