Public Statement with permission to repost. It is with deepest sadness that Qaiser Zulqarnian due to Chuchi’s current wing episode has decided to take alternate measures to either have the same vet, who performed the partial wing amputation, do a full wing amputation under sub-standard surgical conditions or euthanize Chuchi, who is greatly suffering. There comes a point when it is cruel to continue suffering, especially for two years. Our group has been in communication with Qaiser and have offered to initiate Pakistan vet to US avian vet Skype to do the full wing amputation on dear Chuchi. Qaiser refused. We then suggested a video on the correct procedure of a full wing amputation to help guide his vet. Qaiser refused. Thus, we are unable to continue this project or help Chuchi maximise her chances of receiving an operation that would give her a quality of life thereafter. That is if she survived such an operation under sub-standard conditions.. We do not support keeping a bird or an animal alive who is constantly suffering. This is cruel and unnecessary. Qaiser told us that Chuchi is weakening. Time is running out for this beautiful girl, which means this project “Chuchi Fund” comes too late, two years on from her accident and the sub-standard partial wing amputation. Our heartfelt thanks to those who supported dear Chuchi via our efforts, despite some of you having reservations and predictions of how this would end. All donations received will be returned with heartfelt appreciation. We tried and gave it our all for this dear precious girl, Chuchi, often burning the midnight oil into the late hours of the morning, but sadly, she isnt in our hands, although deeply engraved in our hearts.
