Publisher Eugene Ndi is Free... Hi all, I just spoke with him. The young publisher, Eugene Ndi detained by the publisher of the Star, Nkemayang Paul has just been released from the cells of the Limbe police station on a bail of 500000 CFAF. The hearing of his defamation case comes up again on August 6. Gratitude to all the young colleagues and all who mobilised funds to secure his release. I hear the Star publisher is moving to companies demanding attestations that would indicate he did not collect money which he is said to have reportedly siphoned. So in earnest he is saying that he used his money to organise world press freedom day for journalists? Since when? The truth would be revealed and I shall not hesitate to publish the list of those who donated money for the event. To the star publishers apologists we are aware he is court journalist- either in court with people or he is dragged to court. We have the right to go to court...the mobilisation of journalists to secure the release of Eugene Ndi is clear indication that they are not happy. He who sues can be sued as well.
