QOTD (and a rather surprising and interesting update overall to yours truly): This has been a CPAC at which a panelist got booed for calling Edward Snowden a traitor, a man defending the continued criminalization of marijuana nearly got eaten alive at another panel, and at which speaker after speaker cautioned the gathering to not be quite so vocal on the social issues that have kept the movement white and aging. (Of course, the nearly empty hall that greeted the panel on minority outreach was not promising.) But the presence of the young Paulite contingent made for a certain diversity of opinion that kept evincing itself in different ways. Even Rick Santorum -- and have I mentioned recently what a colossal dick this guy is? -- soft-pedaled the fetus worship in favor of a pitch for conservative outreach to the unemployed, and he dragooned Pope Francis into the discussion to do it. This was a CPAC with a functioning mute button. (BTW/FYI for those who may be unaware: — WhenEVER Mr. Pierce mentions the name Rick Santorum he ALWAYS mentions what a colossal Dick that guy is.)
