QUICK QUESTION: When will disaster strike? Certainly we all agree that no one knows when disaster will strike or when an emergency will happen. Since no one knows when or where or how it will happen the most prudent thing to do is to prepare for the disaster type that could occur in your area. More than 350 residents were displaced from their homes after a massive fire ripped through the Avalon at Edgewater apartment complex situated near the Hudson River across from Manhattan. As the fire raged into the evening on Wednesday, flames could be seen ravaging the four-story complex, sending thick clouds of smoke billowing into the night sky as sections of the building smoldered or collapsed.
